Security: PIN, 2FA and phishing
Protect your account with a Quick Login PIN or fingerprint, two-factor authentication, and a few habits that stop phishing.
- Set a 6-digit PIN in Settings → Quick Login, and add your fingerprint or Face unlock if your device has it. They unlock the app on this device and confirm money actions.
- Turn on 2FA in Settings → Security: withdrawals, transfers, trades and cash-outs then also need the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
- Use a strong password that you use nowhere else. Your PIN does not replace it.
- Check Settings → Sessions from time to time and revoke any device you do not recognise.
Good to know
- VitoCoin staff will never ask for your password, PIN, 2FA code or recovery phrase — not by e-mail, phone, WhatsApp or chat.
- Sign in only on vitocoin.com: check the address before you type your password, and do not open sign-in links from messages you did not expect.
- Forgot your PIN? Sign in with your e-mail and password, then set a new PIN in Settings → Quick Login.
